Hello! My name is Giselle Blanchard and I work here at Mana Yoga Health & Spa as the makeup artist. I wanted to take a moment and give readers some good insight on what primers, foundations and skin products are ideal for everyday use. So I would like to start out by raving about the ever so fabulous iconic Photo Finish Primer by Smashbox it’s ideal for giving the appearance of reduced pores and helps keep your foundation set all day long. As far as foundation goes, I am completely head over heels in love with the Rouge Underground Airbrush Foundation. It’s versatile and perfect for everyday use and it’s hypoallergenic and non-fragrance so it doesn’t irritate your skin. For setting powder I use Bare Minerals Mineral Veil, I’m a really big fan of any makeup that’s mineral based. I suffer with extremely acne prone skin and it took me a really long time to find the perfect foundation and setting powder for my face, I’ve realized that the more natural products work the best for acne prone skin. As far as cleansers and exfoliates Dermalogica is my absolute favorite product for keeping my face looking clear and smooth. As someone that suffers with mild acne I use the Dermalogica MediBac kit, it’s perfect for all skin types and really does clear up adult acne before you apply any of your primers of foundations be sure to use the clearing mattifier it keeps your skin protected and reduces oil throughout the day.
Dermalogica is an excellent brand that contains products for all variations of skin types. I wasted so much money on every type of thinkable topical acne line, none that ever compared to Dermalogica. It’s not harsh at all on the skin and really makes makeup so much better to apply when you have a smooth and clear canvas to work with. Mana Yoga Health and Spa offers the Dermalogica line and carries the Medibac kit as well as a wide range of other Dermalogica products. If you want to get your makeup done or are interested in more information on how I can help you get better skin with Dermalogica come in and see me. I hope you all enjoyed my post about my top picks for skin products in a later post I’ll go in depth about what eye makeup made the top of my chart!
